Medicaid Medical Transportation Brokerage
Mid-Columbia Council of Governments – The Transportation Network is the Medicaid Transportation Broker for seven (7) Oregon Counties. We broker transportation for Hood River, Wasco, Gilliam, Sherman, Wheeler, Morrow and Umatilla counties. Who is eligible? To use this service you must be eligible under the state of Oregon’s Oregon Health Plan Plus (OHP+) program, be going to a medical service covered by the OHP+ plan and have no other way to get to this appointment. How much does it cost? There is no charge. An escort/personal care attendant may ride with you, at no cost, if you need assistance with mobility or for medical reasons. Please call us as soon as you know you need a ride to your medical appointment. The more time we have the better chance we will have to arrange a ride for you. Most all of our providers provide other transportation besides the Medicaid transportation, so short notice requests are very difficult for us to arrange for you. Our office hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, M-F except for holidays. 541-296-7595 or toll free 1-877-875-4657. When do I need to be ready? Be ready 15 minutes before your scheduled pick up time. This helps us get everyone to his/her appointment on time. What if my plans change? If you need to cancel or change you appointment, please call us as soon as possible. If it is outside our normal business hours our telephone system will record a message for you. If a transportation provider comes to get you and you don’t go or are not there that is considered a NO SHOW. When you are a NO SHOW, the transportation provider does not get paid for their services. If you get a history of NO SHOWS it may become very difficult for us to find a provider that will be willing to transport you. What do I need to have ready when I call for a ride?
